Google just told me that today is International Women’s Day. My computer-clock just informed me that today is the beginning of Daylight Savings Time, when we move the clocks up an hour. That makes today the shortest day of the year, only 23 hours. Could it just be coincidence that today was chosen as the day to honor women? About as likely that it was just “coincidence” that the shortest month of the year was chosen as Black History Month!
